The Marina Commodore is located just 100 meters away from Le Nautica and offers seasonal and short term docking service for you or your friends! Marina Commodore offers shore power, pump out, water, picnic area with grills, WiFi, plenty of parking for you and your guests, a service department, and a friendly restaurant and bar for your entertainment.
Marina Commodore has a convenient and easy to use boat launch onto Rivière des Prairies in Laval. The concrete ramp has plenty of depth to launch any size boat. For the avid boaters, Marina Commodore offers a package rate. When you purchase 10 launches you get the 11th one FREE!
The Marina Commodore river-side bar is a great place to relax and enjoy a few drinks, a bite to eat and a lot of laughs with your friends and our welcoming staff. In the warm, wood-panel atmosphere of the Commodore bar, offers a pool table, video lottery machines, dining tables, a friendly bar and an outdoor terrace overlooking the Rivière des Prairies.
LAVAL METRO
The Cartier Metro and bus terminal are located just over a kilometer West of Le Nautica and are accessible by foot through the picturesque Parc Rosaire-Gauthier or by taking the #22 bus.
Le Nautica location offers great accessibility by being located in the geographical center of the Laval-Montreal zone. This central location gives you easy access to Laval’s two other Metro stations; De La Concorde Station and Montmorency Station as well as the entire n Montreal Metro network just one stop away from the Cartier Metro.
SHOPPING CENTERS
Carrefour Laval is a premiere shopping destination for all of Montreal, Laval and the North shore. Known for its trendy retailers, fashionable brands and its magnificent garden, Carrefour Laval located just 15 minutes away has all the stores and services and restaurants to make each visit a memorable one.
Cycling Paths
The Laval cyclying network is nearly 200 km long. Whether you ride your bike for fun or as a means of transportation you will enjoy the ease of accessibility, the scenic routes by the river and the 32 km of the Route Verte network.
The cycling paths are accessible from 15 April to 14 November if the weather permits. In the spring, the City of Laval cleans the bike paths to provide an enjoyable spring, summer and fall biking experience.
PUBLIC TRANSIT
It’s easy to travel by bus, Metro or commuter train to and from Laval. Persons with disabilities also benefit from adapted transport services
With its 44 bus lines, the Société de transport de Laval (STL) provides public transport in all parts of the city. The Lavallois therefore benefit from a large selection of public transport options, combining buses, Metro and suburban train.
In order to improve the speed, reliability and accessibility of its network, the Société de transport de Laval (STL) conducted major work in 2016 with the implementation of a series of preferential bus measures (MPB).
Safety on bike paths
For a smooth and safe use of bike lanes, it is important to respect other users and signalling is always in effect. To avoid accidents, cyclists and skaters should avoid excessive speed and risky overtaking. Pedestrians must use the sidewalk if there is one. Otherwise, they should make sure to walk in single file to facilitate the free movement of other trail users.
The bike path along the shoreline was widened, where possible, to make room for pedestrians, parents with strollers and runners, many of whom want to enjoy the waterfront. Every summer, police cadets patrol the paths to help users follow posted instructions and inform cyclists of safety rules.
CENTRE DE LA NATURE
The Centre de la Nature, located in the Saint-Vincent-de-Paul district, just 10 minutes from Le Nautica, is an urban park of more than 50 hectares, the largest in Laval. This family-friendly green space was built on the site of a former quarry and partly on a dump. This is one of the few examples of this type of redevelopment in North America.
Decades of effort were needed to revive this space, scarred by years of quarrying. Thanks to a helpful boost, nature was able to catch its breath, now offering an oasis of greenery and flowers to the entire population of Laval.
There are many activities available in the park for each of our four seasons.
